After decades of service to the community, BronxCare has made the shocking decision to lay off all the longtime Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in the Family Medicine unit. These NPs have spent their careers serving the South Bronx community, providing high-quality, continuous care to patients and families. Cutting these skilled practitioners and services will permanently harm access to quality care for Bronx families.
While hospitals across New York desperately try to find and hire staff, BronxCare is choosing to lay off their most experienced nurses and cut an essential service for the already underserved Bronx community.
Join us in calling on BronxCare administration to save the Family Medicine program for the South Bronx, cancel the NP layoffs, and honor their mission to care for Bronx families. Sign the petition here
